Catch-All Tray: for the entry table

A 13 × 4 cm hand-poured jesmonite tray with a pleated edge that keeps small things from sliding off, and a cork base that protects the surface underneath. Made by Estelle Studio in Calgary in nude, cream or mellow. See the Catch-All Tray.

Ring Dish: for rings and earrings

A smaller 11 cm dish, 2 cm high, sized for the jewelry you take off at the end of the day. Same studio, same three colours, so it matches the Catch-All Tray: one for the entry, one for the bedroom. See the Ring Dish.

Folding Valet Tray: for a nightstand, desk or suitcase

A soft faux-leather tray, about 22 × 22 × 5 cm, that snaps into shape at the corners for keys, a watch, rings and earbuds. Unsnap it and it lies flat for packing. Black, khaki or green. See the Folding Valet Tray.

  • Catch-All Tray and Ring Dish: made to order in Calgary (allow 3–5 business days before dispatch). In Canada, standard shipping is a flat CA$14.90 per studio order, so ordering both costs no more to ship than ordering one. Rates for your address are shown at checkout.
  • Folding Valet Tray: ships free to Canada and the U.S. from our fulfilment partner's warehouse in China; the supplier estimates about 8 business days to the U.S. and 9 to Canada after processing.

Five questions.
Every product. No exceptions.

Before anything earns a place in this collection, it has to pass. These are not preferences or guidelines — they are requirements. This is how we choose, every time, without compromise.

Does it serve real life?

Not a season, not a moment. We ask
whether something will still be earning its place six months from now, being used, appreciated, and never second-guessed. If the answer is uncertain, it doesn't belong here.

Is the quality honest?

We evaluate quality closely — construction, materials, and finish — and ask whether the craftsmanship actually matches what's being asked of the buyer. Good materials feel different, wear differently, and behave differently under real conditions. We know what to look for, and we look for it.

Would we give it to someone we love?

This is the simplest test and the most revealing one. If we would hesitate, if there's a version of this product we would choose instead for a person who mattered to us, it doesn't pass. Everything here has passed.

Does it hold its value over time?

Things that age well have a different quality to them. They don't just endure, they deepen. We look for objects that become more themselves with use rather than less, and we exclude anything that impresses once and fades.

Can anyone live with it beautifully?

Good design is generous. It doesn't require a particular aesthetic or a particular kind of home. We choose things that find their place in many kinds of lives, because this collection is meant for many kinds of people.

We identify products through research and close evaluation — not through supplier catalogs or trend reports. We begin with a need, not a product.

Every candidate is closely evaluated and assessed against all five Choir Standard criteria. This takes as long as it takes. We don't move on a timeline — we move when we're certain.

Selection

If a product passes all five criteria, it earns a place. If it passes four, it doesn't. There is no partial entry into this collection — only products that belong entirely.

Honesty before aesthetics.

We will never carry something because it looks right. It has to be right. Beautiful things that don't perform are not what this brand is for.

Fewer things, chosen better.

This collection will never be large. It will always be considered. We would rather offer thirty products we believe in completely than three hundred we believe in partially.

Accessible to anyone who values it.

This is not a collection for a particular kind of person or a particular kind of home. Thoughtful quality belongs to everyone. That is a principle this brand will not compromise.
